How we review

Every review answers the same three questions in the same order, and quotes the same kind of price. Here is what is behind that.

The price we quote is month to month

The number at the top of a review is what one month costs with no commitment. It is the number most companies bury, because the one they advertise is usually a prepay: cheaper per month, much bigger today, and rarely refundable. We show the whole ladder on every review, and the cost page prices out each rung.

If a company will not publish a price before an intake, we say so instead of estimating. We do not start an intake to get a number, because the number you would see is not necessarily the number the next person sees.

The American checks

Every company gets the same five checks, and they are the reason this site exists rather than being one more list of prices: is the prescriber licensed in your state, is the pharmacy named with its state, is what you get a compounded drug or an FDA-approved brand, is anything fulfilled overseas, and are support hours published. A blank is a finding about the company's own site, not a guess about the company.

What we do not do

We do not score companies out of ten, we do not rank on anything except a stated rule you can re-derive yourself, and we do not take payment for a placement or a rating. An FDA warning letter is recorded on a review and dated; it is not a disqualification, because most of them concern marketing and labeling claims rather than a finding that a company cannot trade.

What the commission changes

Some companies pay us when a reader starts care through our link, and those links are marked. It changes which companies we can send you to, and it does not change a price we quote, a check we run, or the order of a list — every list here is ordered by a rule printed at the top of it. The funding page spells this out.

Corrections

Prices move. Every review carries the month it was read, and a review quoted without its date is quoted wrong. If something here is out of date, tell us at desk@glpamerica.org and we will re-read the page and date the change. Citation and liability are covered in the terms of use.
