Our verdict

PCOS Sisters prices GLP-1 prescriptions from $150 a month, and a PCOS Sisters membership, whose monthly fee isn't printed on any page, is required on top. It's a nurse-practitioner telehealth practice for women with PCOS in about a dozen states.

What it is

PCOS Sisters is a telehealth practice built for women with polycystic ovary syndrome, which it now also calls PMOS. Its founder, Dr. Lynsey Johnson, DNP, FNP-C, is a family nurse practitioner who has PCOS herself, and the clinicians are board-certified nurse practitioners, several of them licensed in multiple states. Headquarters is listed at 7901 4th St. N in St. Petersburg, Florida.

GLP-1s are one tool inside a broader PCOS program that also covers irregular periods, acne, hair loss, infertility, mental health and primary care. Treatment can include semaglutide or other GLP-1s, oral options, microdosing, and add-on medications to protect B12 levels, managed through monthly video visits and a PCOS Sisters fitness app. Prescriptions go to partner pharmacies, Strive Pharmacy in Arizona and Striker Pharmacy in Texas.

Coverage is state by state. The FAQ lists Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, New Mexico, New York, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Washington, and the service-area page adds Oregon. Your appointment is canceled, with a $25 no-show fee, if you aren't physically in your provider's licensed state at visit time.

What it actually costs

PCOS Sisters prices by drug
DrugMonth to monthLowest rate on a longer plan
Unspecified GLP-1$150None listed

GLP-1 prescriptions start at $150 a month, and the site doesn't tie that figure to a specific drug or dose. A membership is mandatory for any GLP-1, and its monthly price is picked from a drop-down in the booking widget rather than printed on a page, so the real monthly total can't be worked out ahead of booking.

The membership covers a PCOS evaluation, unlimited video visits and messages, and a personalized diet and exercise plan. It bills monthly from your first appointment and renews until you cancel; prepaid three-, six- and twelve-month plans are also sold and don't renew.

Labs are extra. A basic discounted PCOS panel runs about $335, and each discounted lab order includes a $35 interpretation fee. A standalone PCOS evaluation is $75 if you aren't ready for a membership, and Aetna and United Healthcare are accepted for Georgia evaluation visits only.

Leaving has costs too. Canceling needs a portal message at least 24 hours before the monthly draft, prepaid plans are never refunded, and coming back later means a $50 re-enrollment charge and the loss of your grandfathered rate.

Who it's wrong for

Want the full monthly cost before you book? The membership fee on top of the $150 GLP-1 figure isn't shown anywhere outside the booking widget.

Skip it if you live outside its dozen or so states; being elsewhere at visit time gets the appointment canceled and a $25 fee.

Not for you if you only want a prescription. GLP-1s come bundled with PCOS care, monthly visits and a membership you can't opt out of.

Might you pause and restart? Returning after canceling costs $50 and gives up whatever grandfathered rate you had.

Considering a prepaid plan to save? Three-, six- and twelve-month plans carry no refunds at all.
