When does a prepay term pay off?

625 prepay rungs across 155 of the 412 companies we have reviewed, on 10 pages, one per term length. The comparison is always the same one: their own month-to-month rate for the same medication, against the single charge their term takes on day one.

The rungs are grouped by how many months you buy at once. Each page below carries every prepay rung in the roster at that length (nothing selected, nothing left out), with the break-even month and the arithmetic behind it printed on each row.

How to check any row above

1. The comparison rate is their own one-month rung for the same medication, not ours and not another company's. A membership ladder is compared against the month-to-month membership rate, never against a drug price. Those are different products, and mixing them produces a table headed with a molecule whose rows are subscription fees.
2. Break-even is the first month at which monthly spending has reached the charge. Their rate multiplied by that many months, printed on the row, against the single charge printed beside it. If it never reaches it inside the term, the row says never.
3. The saving assumes you finish. Their monthly rate across the whole term, minus what the term charges. Stop early and the saving is not smaller, it is gone; the row prints what you have paid for months you did not use.
4. Nothing here is a refund claim. This site reads published prices, not refund policies. Whether any of a term is recoverable is a question for that company's own terms.

38 of the 625 never break even inside their own term, and 288 do not break even until the last month of it or later, which means the discount only exists for someone who was always going to stay the whole way. That is the thing a prepay price is designed not to say out loud.
