Luma Meds review

GLP-1 telehealth · Prices read September 2026

Our verdict

A new patient pays $139 a month for compounded semaglutide at Luma Meds on the monthly plan, $199 for tirzepatide and $199 for semaglutide tablets. The $99 on the banner is the three-month rate, and anyone switching in from another GLP-1 pays more, $149 a month for semaglutide.

The short version

In its favor

  • $139 buys one month of compounded semaglutide, no commitment
  • No membership fee on top
  • Clean FDA warning-letter record
  • Names 4 pharmacies, including VialsRx and Hallandale Rx

Against it

  • The advertised $99/mo needs a 3-month commitment

What it is

Luma Meds sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide two ways: weekly injections, and tablets that dissolve under the tongue with ondansetron (an anti-nausea medicine) mixed in. It also sells NAD+, sermorelin, glutathione, Lipo-B shots and hair-loss treatments. You take a short online visit, a physician reviews it, and five states (New Mexico, Kansas, West Virginia, Louisiana and Mississippi) also require a short call by video or phone.

The company behind the site is HappyScale Wellness Corp., at a Bethpage, New York address. Its prescribers work for Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC, and the consent form says “Your practitioner is a board-certified physician licensed in your state.” Prescriptions go to one of five named partner pharmacies, a mix of 503A compounders and 503B outsourcing facilities.

A tirzepatide tablet is also on the menu, at $229 a month for new patients or $179 on three months, and $299 or $249 for someone already on a GLP-1.

What it actually costs

Luma Meds advertises $99. A month costs $139 because the advertised rate is the 3-month plan, new to GLP-1s.

The gap

They advertise $99 a month. That is the 3-month plan, new to GLP-1s, $297 on the card today by our math, since the plan's total isn't printed. With no commitment it is $139 a month.

Luma Meds prices by drug
DrugMonth to monthLowest rate on a longer plan
Compounded semaglutide$139$99 /mo, 3 months
Compounded tirzepatide$199$149 /mo, 3 months
Oral semaglutide$199$159 /mo, 3 months

Every plan card has two columns. If you're new to GLP-1s, semaglutide injections are $139 month to month, or $99 a month if you pick three months. If you're already taking one, the same drug is $149 or $119. Tirzepatide runs $199 or $149 for new patients and $219 or $179 for everyone else, and the semaglutide tablets cost $199 or $159 new, $249 or $199 otherwise.

The “New to GLP-1s” rate is described as “New patient starter dose pricing.” Once you're in a column, the site says the price won't climb with your dose. The plan price already carries the drug, supplies, the physician consult and expedited delivery; Luma adds no membership fee.

The site gives three-month plans as a monthly rate only, never a total or a billing schedule, so the three-month upfront figures here are three times the monthly rate. Luma takes HSA and FSA cards and offers pay-over-time financing at checkout.

Your card is charged only after a physician approves you. From that moment Luma won't cancel or refund the order, even before it ships, and another FAQ answer says all sales are final once checkout is complete. Canceling stops future charges if you do it before the next billing cycle.

Who it's wrong for

Switching from another GLP-1 provider? The $99 and $139 figures are for patients new to the drug; yours start at $119 and $149.

Want the three-month total in writing before paying? Luma's cards show only a monthly rate.

If you live in Mississippi, Louisiana, Kansas, West Virginia or New Mexico, plan on a video or audio visit before anything ships.

Second thoughts after checkout won't get your money back. Once a physician approves the order, Luma won't cancel or refund it.

Looking at the tablets to save money? They cost more than the shots: $199 a month against $139 for a new semaglutide patient.
