What it is
Boston Medical Group made its name treating erectile dysfunction with injections, and it now sells telemedicine care in all 50 states. Its legal name, per the privacy policy, is Boston Medical Group Telemedicine Llc, with a corporate office in Huntington Beach, California. Weight loss is a side line under the SlimFitRx name, open to men and women.
There are two front doors. The main site describes SlimFitRx as a phone-in program (“Call today for a free consultation”) with its own prices, while the online store on the rx subdomain sells compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide with a plan picker and a cart. Store patients fill in a medical form and hear from a US-based doctor in roughly a day; a handful of states add a video or chat visit. Photo ID and a selfie are required.
The store FAQ lists Manifest Pharmacy (Greer, SC) and RX Compounding Store (Miami) as possible fillers. Four states (CA, MA, RI, VT) get one of two named physicians, Dr. Shellenberger or Dr. Serota.
What it actually costs
Advertised$99
Actually$190/mo
Boston Medical Group advertises $99. A month costs $190 because the advertised rate is the 12-month plan.
The gap
They advertise $99 a month. That is the 12-month plan, $1,188 on the card today. With no commitment it is $190 a month.
In the store, semaglutide runs $190 for one month, $399 for three, $714 for six and $1,188 for twelve, which is where the home page's $99 a month comes from. Tirzepatide costs $239, $589, $1,074 and $1,788 on the same four plans. The store calls these all-in prices covering the telehealth consultation, medication, supplies and shipping, and holds that price flat through dose changes.
The main site tells a different story. Its SlimFitRx cost page says “Get started for as little as $199/month*,” and the program-steps page says $299 a month, each footnoted with a 12-week total that adds a telemedicine platform fee ($100 on the second). The FAQ there puts the program at $199 to $299 a month depending on strength. None of that matches the store's checkout prices, and the store makes no mention of a platform fee.
Your card is billed when the medication ships. Before each refill, the store says, you'll be contacted and then billed. Reordering or canceling happens in the BMG account, any time before the next box leaves.
After the card clears and a carrier scans the box, BMG treats the sale as closed. Federal and state rules on prescription returns are the reason given. Lost packages are reshipped.
Who it's wrong for
Budgeting off the $99 on the home page? That's semaglutide on the twelve-month plan, $1,188 up front. A single month is $190.
Not for you if you want one consistent price sheet. The SlimFitRx pages quote $199 and $299 a month plus a platform fee, and the store quotes $190.
Hoping for a post-delivery refund? BMG closes every medication sale at the carrier handoff.
Looking for Wegovy or Zepbound pens? The store sells only the compounded versions.
Prefer not to send a selfie with your photo ID? The store says state rules require both before a doctor treats you.
