Rex MD belongs to LifeMD, Inc.: the terms call the site “an Internet property of LifeMD, Inc.” and give a Fifth Avenue address in New York. It started in November 2019 as an erectile-dysfunction service for men and has since added hair loss, testosterone, sleep and weight management.
For weight loss it prescribes brand-name Wegovy, either the once-daily pill or the weekly pen, through what it calls the Rex MD Affiliated Medical Group, whose president is Dr. Anthony Puopolo, M.D. You answer an online questionnaire, an affiliated provider reviews it, and the program includes monthly access to medication and ongoing provider care, with prescriptions shipped overnight.
It's a cash-pay program. A copay footnote on the page refers to insured patients covered for GLP-1 treatment through Rex MD and partners, and the other pages don't price anything but the pill.
The Wegovy pill is $349 a month, which Rex MD says includes the medication and provider care. The price doesn't move across the four strengths, 1.5 mg, 4 mg, 9 mg and 25 mg, so titrating up won't raise it.
The dagger in “$349/mo‡” points to a footnote that never appears on the page, so whatever condition it carries goes undisclosed.
