GLP-1 telehealth · Prices read September 2026

Our verdict

Success by Sesame costs $99 a month for care alone, charged every 28 days, and the GLP-1 itself is paid separately to whichever pharmacy fills it. The $59 rate Sesame advertises needs a 12-month commitment. Its pages quote drug prices starting at $149 for a starter-dose Wegovy pill.

What it is

Sesame is a cash-price marketplace for medical visits, and Success by Sesame is its weight-loss program. You pick a clinician from its listings, meet over video, and then keep going with unlimited messaging, follow-up video visits and lab work. When a GLP-1 gets prescribed, it's sent to whichever pharmacy you name, for same-day pickup or home delivery, and that pharmacy is who bills you for it. Sesame isn't a pharmacy and doesn't sell medication itself.

The clinicians write for brand-name drugs only: Wegovy (weekly pen or daily pill), Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Lilly's newer Foundayo tablet. No compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide is on offer, and no controlled weight-loss drugs either. Sesame bills no insurance for its own fees, though a provider will handle prior-authorization paperwork if your plan might cover the medication.

Costco shoppers see Sesame through a partnership that dates to 2023. The older Costco Weight Loss program, billed at $179 every three months, carries on for people already enrolled, and Sesame's January 2026 update sends members who want weight-loss care to Success by Sesame at 10% off. Costco Pharmacy then sells the Novo Nordisk drugs to members at its own prices. Sesame, Inc. runs all of it from 200 Broadway in New York, and the clinicians are independent professionals, not Sesame employees.

Price check, October 13: the public program page now advertises Wegovy injections from $149, while our earlier medication-page reading quoted a $199 starter offer. Those figures cannot be treated as interchangeable. The drug-price examples below describe the earlier reading, not a verified current quote; confirm the dose, eligibility, duration and pharmacy terms before paying.

On the no-commitment plan, care costs $99, and Sesame bills it on a 28-day cycle, so a year brings thirteen payments. The $59 on the program page is the annual plan's rate. Sesame describes its quarterly and half-year options only by the savings ($60 per quarter, $180 per half year against monthly billing), and puts the annual plan's saving at $480. None of it pays for medication.

Medication arrives as a separate bill from the pharmacy. At the earlier reading, Sesame's medication pages reprinted these manufacturer self-pay prices: the Wegovy pill at $149 monthly for the lower two strengths and $299 for the upper two; Wegovy or Ozempic injections at $199 for each of the first two months on starter strengths, then $349 (Ozempic's top 2 mg pen is $499); Zepbound vials through LillyDirect from $299 to $449, and KwikPens from $299 to $699.

A combined current medication-and-care total is not verified here. Add the applicable care fee to the pharmacy quote after confirming which offer applies; the old $199 injection example is not a current starting-price recommendation.

In the earlier Costco reading, its pharmacy price page listed Wegovy tablets at $149 a month at 1.5 mg until December 31, 2026 ($199 after), Wegovy or Ozempic injections at $199 for up to two fills at the lowest doses, and $349 for Wegovy injections at the 1 mg dose and above. A Costco membership is required, and shipping isn't included in those figures.

Cancel at least 3 hours before your first visit and the whole charge comes back. Once that visit has happened, the first month is kept. From then on, canceling before the next cycle stops future charges, and nothing is prorated. Walking away from a multi-month plan early means Sesame recalculates the elapsed months at the monthly rate and refunds any balance.

Quest lab work is included except in Arizona, Hawaii, North Dakota, New Jersey, New York, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Wyoming, where the lab bills you directly. One more caveat from Sesame's own FAQ: providers set their own prices, so some may charge more than these program rates.

Who it's wrong for

Want the drug and the doctor on one bill? Sesame's $99 (or $59 a month on an annual plan) buys care only, and the pharmacy charges separately for the medication.

Hoping for cheaper compounded versions? Sesame's clinicians prescribe Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Foundayo, all brand-name, and nothing compounded.

Live in Arizona, New Jersey, New York or six other listed states? The Quest lab work bundled in elsewhere is billed to you by the lab there.

Costco members hoping for the $179-a-quarter Costco Weight Loss plan will find it continuing only for existing enrollees; newcomers join Success by Sesame with 10% off.

Unsure you'll last a year? Quit the $59 annual plan early and each month you used is recharged at $99 before any refund.

Questions people ask about Sesame

On the record14 sourcing notes: every price with the page it came from, and what the company doesn't publish
  1. October 13 scope and price-specific check: rendered public Success by Sesame program page advertises care at $59 per month with twelve-month commitment and Wegovy injections from $149. Dose and promotional eligibility not reread; older medication price quotes explicitly historical. Affiliate status reconciled with own-profile API239 active approved. Full review date remains unchanged.
  2. Sources: Sesame's public site: Sesame's home page, Sesame's online weight loss program page, Sesame's Wegovy page, Sesame's Wegovy pill page, Sesame's Zepbound page, Sesame's Ozempic page, Sesame's Mounjaro page, Sesame's sc2024 membership perks page, Sesame's membership page, Sesame's sesame weight loss announcement page, Sesame's costco half price Ozempic Wegovy page, Sesame's FAQ page (which lands on /join/faqs-sc1), Sesame's about page and Sesame's terms of service page; plus Costco's own member pricing page (its prescription-program page redirects to the member pricing page), used only for the Costco pharmacy prices. The weight-loss questionnaire, provider booking and the Costco membership verification were not opened.
  3. The program prices, from /service/online-weight-loss-program: “Lose weight with GLP‑1s and top‑rated care $59 /mo* for care + medication from $149/mo (paid separately)” with the footnote “*Based on a 12-month Success by Sesame commitment”. Its FAQ: “The Success by Sesame subscription starts at just $59 per month with an annual subscription and includes telehealth visits, unlimited messaging, and ongoing clinical care from a provider of your choice.” and “What are my subscription pricing options? Success by Sesame offers multi-month subscription plans designed to make long-term GLP-1 weight loss care more affordable. While medication costs are not included (brand-name GLP-1 options start at $149/month without insurance), you can save on your program fees by choosing one of the following commitment levels: Annual Plan: The best value option, offering a savings of $480 per year compared to the monthly plan. 6-Month Plan: Billed every 6 months, offering a savings of $180 every 6 months. 3-Month Plan: Billed every 3 months, offering a savings of $60 every 3 months. Month-to-Month Plan: Billed every month at $99 per month.”
  4. Billing, from the same FAQ: “When will I be billed? To ensure your treatment remains uninterrupted, your Success by Sesame subscription will be billed in advance according to your chosen plan: Month-to-Month Plan: Billed every 28 days Annual Plan: Billed once every 12 months 6-Month Plan: Billed once every 6 months 3-Month Plan: Billed once every 3 months”. And: “Note that providers on Sesame set their own prices, which means that some providers may offer the service at a higher price.”
  5. Three different care-fee floors appear on Sesame's own pages in September 2026. The program page and home page say $59. The Wegovy and Zepbound pages read “From $49 per /mo.” in a capture taken earlier that day and “$59” when re-read hours later. The Zepbound page's FAQ says “The Success by Sesame subscription starts at just $99 per month and includes telehealth visits, unlimited messaging, and ongoing clinical care from a provider of your choice. The $99 subscription fee does not include the cost of medication.” The $99 month-to-month and $59 annual figures are the ones recorded.
  6. Medication tiles on the program page, each over the footnote “*Medication pricing is separate from the cost of clinical care and applies only if prescribed. Medication availability, eligibility, and pricing may vary based on treatment, dose, pharmacy, and provider determination.”: Wegovy pill “from $149”, “Wegovy® & Wegovy® HD Semaglutide from $149 per /mo*”, Zepbound vial and Zepbound KwikPen “from $299”, Foundayo “from $149” and “Zepbound® Tirzepatide from $1,086 per /mo*”.
  7. Drug prices Sesame quotes, from /medication/wegovy: “If you don't have insurance coverage, you can get brand-name Wegovy without insurance at a reduced cash price – just ask your Sesame provider to send your prescription to the NovoCare pharmacy.” and “Wegovy pen (semaglutide): $199/mo. for first two months (new Wegovy patients only), then $349/mo after Wegovy pill (semaglutide): $149/mo. for lower doses (1.5mg, 4mg) or $299/mo for higher doses (9 mg, 25 mg)”. From /medication/zepbound: “Here’s what cash prices currently look like for Zepbound vials via LillyDirect: $299/mo for 2.5mg dose $399/mo for 5mg dose $449/mo for 7.5mg, 10mg, 12.5mg, and 15mg doses Here’s what cash prices currently look like for Zepbound Kwikpens via LillyDirect: $299/mo for 2.5mg dose $399/mo for 5mg dose $499/mo for 7.5mg dose $699/mo for 10mg, 12.5mg, and 15 mg doses”. From /medication/mounjaro: “Without insurance, the price of Mounjaro pens can range from $1,050 to $1,300 per month, depending on your pharmacy.” None of these is a Sesame price.
  8. The offer terms on the program page: the Wegovy and Ozempic offer is “effective from November 17, 2025, through December 31, 2026”; “Eligible patients will pay $199 per month for the first two consecutive months of treatment at the 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg dose of Wegovy® or Ozempic®.”; after that “Wegovy® will cost $349 per month for all doses” and Ozempic “$349 per month for the 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, and 1 mg doses. The 2 mg dose will cost $499 per month.” The Foundayo offer runs “from September 1, 2026, through December 31, 2026” at $149 for 0.8 mg and 2.5 mg, rising to $349 at the top doses. “The cost of Wegovy® and Ozempic® under this promotion is separate from the Success by Sesame subscription price.” The Ozempic page still dates its $199 offer “valid until June 30, 2026”.
  9. The Costco program, from /blog/sesame-weight-loss-announcement (“Update to the Costco Weight Loss Program”, “Updated on January 6, 2026”): “If you're already enrolled in the Costco Weight Loss program, you can continue without any changes to your benefits.” and “You will continue to be billed at a rate of $179 every 3 months.” For new interest: “Costco members who are interested in weight loss can sign up for Success by Sesame, Sesame's online weight loss program.” and Costco members get “10% off other Sesame services, including the Success by Sesame weight loss program.” The perks page opens “The site is operated by Sesame, not by Costco.” and lists no weight-loss price.
  10. Costco Pharmacy's own prices, from (reached from): “Wegovy® Tablets $ 149 00 per month (1.5mg)* *Price is $199/mo after 12/31/26. Wegovy® Injections $ 199 00 per month (0.25-0.5mg)* *Limited to 2 fills. Price is $349/mo after 12/31/26. Wegovy® Tablets $ 299 00 per month (9-25mg) Wegovy® Injections $ 349 00 per month (1 - 2.4mg)” and “Ozempic® Injections $ 199 00 per month (0.25 - 0.5mg) *Limited to 2 fills. Price is $349/mo after 12/31/2026.” The page also prices two “Ozempic Tablets” doses at $349 (1mg) and $499 (2mg). Its footer: “Shipping and handling cost are not included in the price.” Sesame's November 2025 post says Costco Executive Members and Costco Anywhere Visa holders earn “an additional 2% reward on their medication purchase”.
  11. Refunds, from the program FAQ: “If you sign up for Sesame's weight loss program and cancel at least 3 hours prior to your initial visit start time, you will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for the first month if the initial visit has occurred. You can self-cancel your subscription at any point. To avoid future charges, cancellation must occur before the next billing cycle starts. Fees paid for previous months are not refundable.” The terms add that subscriptions can be canceled “up to forty-eight (48) hours before the applicable renewal processing date”, and for multi-month plans: “If you cancel prior to completing the full subscription term, your subscription will be adjusted to reflect the then-current standard Monthly Membership Services subscription rate”, and “in some cases the adjusted value of services used may equal or exceed the amount originally paid, in which case no refund will be issued.”
  12. What the fee includes, from the program page: “Video visits & messaging with your doctor for ongoing guidance.”, “Labs included to monitor your weight loss progress over time.” and the lab FAQ: “Your Success by Sesame subscription includes the cost of lab work completed at Quest Diagnostics facilities, except for those in AZ, HI, ND, NJ, NY, OK, RI, SD and WY.” Insurance: “we do not bill health insurance in order to keep prices affordable for all” and “If you do have insurance, you may be able to use it to cover the cost of any prescribed weight loss drugs.” Controlled drugs: “providers on Sesame do not prescribe controlled weight loss medications.”
  13. Who does what, from the terms: “Sesame, Inc. (d/b/a Sesame or SesameCare)”; “SESAME IS NOT A PHARMACY NOR DOES IT PERFORM PHARMACY SERVICES”; “Sesame can facilitate the delivery of prescription medication by our partner, Truepill pharmacy.”; “Sesame does not accept Medicare, Medicaid, or any other third-party insurance.” Clinicians, from the FAQ: “Clinicians listed on Sesame are independent clinicians who provide care directly to patients, or in some cases may be contracted with Sesame affiliated medical groups.” Address: “Sesame, Inc., 200 Broadway, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10038”. New York law governs, with binding individual arbitration under AAA consumer rules.
  14. Sesame Plus, a separate $10.99-a-month or $99-a-year discount membership (from /join/membership), is not part of the weight-loss program and is not recorded as its membership.
