Levity prices brand semaglutide at $1,599 for what its own label calls wegovy, billed approx. every 4 weeks — a 28-day cycle. 365 ÷ 28 is 13.04, so a card is charged 13 times in a year, not twelve. 13 × $1,599 = $20,787, against the $19,188 that twelve months at the same figure would suggest. The difference is $1,599, and it is one extra charge rather than a higher price.

The charge count is floored on purpose: 365 ÷ 28 is 13.04, and nobody is billed four hundredths of a time. A whole number is also the only version of this figure you can check against a bank statement, which is the point of putting it on a page.

When a longer cycle takes a payment out

What this does not claim

Only the companies that say soA plan is on this page because its own price label states a period in weeks or days. 49 of the 53 companies reviewed here do not state one, and that is a finding about their pages rather than a promise that they bill monthly. If a company you are with quotes a “/mo” figure and never says what a month means, its refill dates are the only way to find out.
It is not a hidden feeEvery company here states the period in the same place it states the price. The gap is between what they wrote and what a reader assumes a monthly figure means over a year, which is why the fix is arithmetic rather than an accusation.
A year is 365 days hereNo leap years, no partial cycles, no assumption you stay the whole time. The break-even arithmetic for staying or stopping is on prepay break-even, and why a three-month plan often isn't three months is the longer piece behind this table.
