The short version

In its favor

  • $99 buys one month of compounded semaglutide, no commitment
  • No membership fee on top
  • Clean FDA warning-letter record
  • Names its pharmacy: Rush Pharmacy (state not published)

What it is

Transparent Meds is a telehealth storefront whose name is its pitch: “Transparent Pricing” and “No hidden fees, ever” run along the top of the home page. Weekly compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide shots anchor the menu, with NAD+, sermorelin and an ED tablet alongside. A five-minute online assessment goes to a clinician, and an approved order typically leaves the pharmacy within two business days.

Transparent Meds LLC, with a mailing address in Dover, Delaware, calls itself a technology intermediary, not a practice. LocumTele, an outside clinician network, handles the medicine, and the terms require your prescriber to be licensed where you reside. Rush Pharmacy compounds and ships the medication, which arrives without the Transparent Meds name on it.

It serves 45 states; Alaska, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire and New Mexico aren't on the list. It doesn't bill insurance but takes HSA and FSA cards.

What it actually costs

Transparent Meds prices by drug
DrugMonth to monthLowest rate on a longer plan
Compounded semaglutide$99None listed
Compounded tirzepatide$199None listed

Each drug has one monthly program fee, $99 on semaglutide and $199 on tirzepatide, printed beside a struck-through $229 or $349 that the site doesn't explain. Medication, syringes, cold-pack shipping and follow-ups are inside the fee, and there's no membership: the home page counts “$0 Surprise Membership Fees”.

Both are entry figures. The FAQ says programs “start at $99/mo”, the pricing strip adds that “Final cost and medication are determined after clinician review”, and no dose table exists, so the monthly figure could rise with the dose.

Billing is monthly and automatic, charged ahead of each cycle. Turning off auto-renew in your account ends it, as does an email sent two days or more before the next charge; the current month runs out and isn't pro-rated.

The refund side is tighter than the home page makes it sound. Step two of the process says a patient who isn't a fit is “eligible for a full refund”, but the refund policy treats consultation and platform fees as non-refundable once a provider has started reviewing the intake, and nothing that has reached the pharmacy is refunded.

Who it's wrong for

Live in Alaska, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Hampshire or New Mexico? Transparent Meds doesn't serve those five states.

Skip it if higher-dose pricing has to be settled up front. The $99 and $199 are starting fees, and no page prices a higher dose.

Is a full refund on a declined intake your safety net? The refund policy lets consultation and platform fees stay with the company once review begins.

Care where your medication is compounded? Rush Pharmacy is named, its location isn't.

Cancel too close to a renewal and the month is gone; the cutoff is 48 hours before billing, with no refund once the pharmacy starts.
