What it is

California Trim Clinic is a weight-loss and peptide practice in Westlake Village, California, that treats patients nationwide by video as well as in its office. Its terms describe it as an administrative and technology service that connects patients with independently contracted providers licensed in their state; one named provider is Dr. Lynda A. Szczech, a board-certified nephrologist. The site runs on the Heally platform.

Besides semaglutide and tirzepatide, it sells microdosing plans, peptide stacks, hormone therapy and in-office CryoSlimming. A separate teen program for ages 12 to 17 carries a $99 physician consultation. Its terms also list retatrutide among the compounded GLP-1 therapies it offers access to; retatrutide is an investigational drug with no FDA approval.

Getting started takes a free discovery call of about 20 minutes with the care team, then a provider visit; the FAQ makes the call mandatory before any medication order.

What it actually costs

California Trim Clinic prices by drug
DrugMonth to monthLowest rate on a longer plan
Compounded semaglutide$199None listed
Compounded tirzepatide$299None listed

Compounded semaglutide starts at $199.00 a month and tirzepatide at $299.00, on a cost page headed “Medical Weight Loss Without Membership Fees or Automatic Renewals.” The FAQ calls each program a flat monthly amount covering provider visits, dose adjustments and check-ins. No price above the starting dose is listed.

The first visit is free for adults. The teen program is priced differently: its page charges $99 for the physician consultation.

Financing comes through Sezzle, Cherry and Affirm, and HSA or FSA funds may work. The clinic bills no insurance.

Compounded orders can't be returned once placed with the pharmacy. Money back is available only in the short window before the pharmacy picks up the order, usually a day, and a missing or stolen box must be reported within seven days.

Who it's wrong for

Want to order without speaking to anyone? A discovery call comes before any medication order.

Skip it if you need the price at your dose before you talk to them. Only starting figures are shown.

Rethinking an order the next day? By then the pharmacy likely has it, and California Trim treats that as final.

Picky about where your vial is made? California Trim names no pharmacy, saying only “State Licensed U.S. Compounding Pharmacies.”

Enrolling a teenager? The teen consultation costs $99, and the medication comes from compounding pharmacies, whose products are not FDA-approved.
