Our finding
$149 needs a $399 club
No plan ladder is published, so there is nothing below to show its working.
Red Mountain Weight Loss is a medical weight-loss practice that Dr. Suzanne Bentz, D.O., board certified in obesity medicine, has run since 1997. It has seven clinics in Arizona and sees patients by private video visit in Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma and Florida. The same company sells testosterone therapy, women's hormone care, supplements and med spa treatments.
The GLP-1 is sold inside a program rather than on its own. GLP Elite pairs the medication with a flexible diet plan, monthly one-on-one consultations, weekly Fat Burner+ Boosters and a lifetime maintenance plan, and the medication itself is “sold separately.” New patients have to complete lab work first. On a video visit, a medical assistant takes your vitals, a licensed provider reviews your history and prescribes, and the medication ships from Nationwide Compounding Rx in Scottsdale.
The program pages never name the molecule. A disclosure on Red Mountain's own blog does: “Red Mountain may prescribe a compounded version of a GLP-1. Compounded GLP-1s contain semaglutide or tirzepatide.” The company also sells RM3, its own proprietary prescription blend, as a separate program.
Red Mountain doesn't publish what a month of GLP-1 medication costs. The banner on every page reads “GLP-1 from $149,” and the fine print on the special-offers page explains it: “*$149 price is based on the 12 month Red Club membership.”
The Red Club is $399 a year, due at enrollment and renewed automatically unless you cancel, and the fee is non-refundable. Members get $150 off “Premium Weight Loss Medication (GLP 1 or RM3),” half-price provider consultations and free shipping on medication from Nationwide Compounding. The club is optional, but without it the site gives no GLP-1 price at all.
The program is a separate charge. Red Mountain's FAQs put its weight-loss programs at $199 to $599 depending on the plan, while the GLP Elite page says programs “start as low as $99 per month.” The first consultation is $55 if you don't start a program, and a $99 weight-loss consultation fee is waived for the first month of a premium program. Lab fees are extra and aren't waived.
Payment is taken at the visit. After a video appointment the card on file is charged for services and for the medication, which goes straight to Nationwide Compounding. Asking for a paper prescription to fill elsewhere doesn't lower the bill; the policy says “the full program fee will still apply.” Standard shipping can take up to a week, and expedited shipping costs extra.
Nothing is refundable. The refund policy says “ALL SALES ARE FINAL,” since returned prescriptions can't be restocked, and the terms make membership fees non-refundable. CareCredit and HSA/FSA cards are accepted for weight-loss services.
Who it's wrong for
If you live outside Arizona, Texas, Oklahoma or Florida, Red Mountain can't treat you. Those are the only four states it lists.
Want the monthly price before you book? It isn't on the site. The one GLP-1 figure is a member price that needs a $399 annual club.
Skip it if you only want a GLP-1 prescription. The medication comes inside a diet program with its own fee, and boosters and supplements are part of the pitch.
Not for you if you want a way back out. Every sale is final, the club fee included.
Prefer to know the molecule before you pay? The program pages don't name it; only a blog disclosure mentions compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide.
