The short version

In its favor

  • $139.99 buys one month of compounded semaglutide, no commitment
  • No membership fee on top
  • Clean FDA warning-letter record
  • Names 4 pharmacies, including BelieveRX and DiRx

What it is

Somira Health is a small, self-pay telehealth platform started by two disabled veterans, Anthony and Vincent. Besides compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, it offers women's hormone therapy, men's health products and wellness peptides. Somira Health LLC has a San Francisco mailbox address and says plainly that it isn't a medical provider.

Its FAQ and provider page credit Arora Health & Aesthetics, LLC, with Dr. Sean Arora listed by NPI, although the terms of service name Beluga Health and Wasef Health as the providers of record. Most reviews happen asynchronously from the intake; Washington DC, Louisiana, Mississippi and Puerto Rico require phone visits, and six other states require one for the first visit.

Each weight-loss plan lets you choose semaglutide or tirzepatide with either B12 or glycine added, and the plan panel names BelieveRX in Tomball, Texas as the compounder. Orders ship overnight with an ice pack, usually 3 to 5 business days after approval.

What it actually costs

Somira Health prices by drug
DrugMonth to monthLowest rate on a longer plan
Compounded semaglutide$139.99$100 /mo, 3 months
Compounded tirzepatide$159.99$133 /mo, 3 months

Semaglutide is $139.99 on the one-month plan or $299.99 every three months, which the page puts at about $100 a month. Tirzepatide is $159.99 a month or $399.99 a quarter, about $133 a month. Picking glycine over B12 changes nothing, and neither does moving up in dose.

Those are the whole charges, according to the site. Somira states “Displayed amounts are full subscription charges”, and its plan panel folds in provider review, ongoing support, syringes, alcohol wipes and overnight shipping. There's no membership fee.

Checkout places a hold for the full amount. If a provider prescribes, the hold is captured; if not, it's released and you pay nothing.

Plans renew on their own. To stop the next shipment you have to pause the treatment and switch Auto-Renew off, both in the portal, and the FAQ warns that doing only one may not be enough. Once a prescription reaches the pharmacy, every charge is final, including fees for consultation and platform access that the policy mentions but never prices.

Who it's wrong for

Expecting to call someone? Somira publishes no phone line. Support runs through the portal on weekdays, 8 to 5 Pacific.

Prone to forgetting subscriptions? Be careful here. Stopping one takes two separate switches in the portal, a pause and an Auto-Renew toggle.

Want certainty about which medical group prescribes? Somira's pages disagree. The FAQ names Arora Health & Aesthetics while the terms name Beluga Health and Wasef Health.

Live in a state without pharmacy coverage? The FAQ says service runs “only in the states where compliant pharmacy fulfillment is also available” and doesn't list them.

After the prescription is transmitted, the $139.99 or $159.99 is gone for good, shipped or not.
