Our verdict

The cheapest month Nova publishes is $169: a required $99 membership plus $70 for daily oral semaglutide at its starting strength. Weekly injections cost more, and Nova's pages give two starting totals for each: $210 or $229 for semaglutide, $225 or $279 for tirzepatide.

The short version

In its favor

  • $169 buys one month of oral semaglutide, no commitment, membership included
  • Prescribers licensed in your state

Against it

  • The $70 medication needs a $99/mo membership on top
  • No pharmacy named
  • No support hours published

What it is

Nova is the consumer brand of NovaCure LLC, which calls itself a management and technology company and leaves prescribing to independent licensed providers, in some states through a third-party medical group. Its weight-loss shelf holds four compounded GLP-1 products, weekly semaglutide and tirzepatide injections plus a daily sublingual tablet of each, and a GLP-1 program where the provider picks the drug. Sermorelin and NAD+ sit beside ED and hair treatments.

Care runs through messages. A provider holding a license in your state reads the assessment, usually within 24 to 48 hours, and afterward you reach the care team in the Nova app, with video visits only when a case calls for one. Medication comes from 503A compounding pharmacies the site doesn't name and ships free, refrigerated when needed, typically three to five business days after approval.

Nova serves 49 states. California is the missing one, listed as coming soon.

What it actually costs

Nova advertises $70. A month costs $169 because the advertised rate is the medication only, and a membership is required on top.

The gap

They advertise $70 a month. That is the medication only. A membership is required on top, so a month actually costs $169.

Medication prices. The required $99/mo membership is billed on top.

Nova's own pages print two different prices for 3 of its drugs. The month-to-month figure above is the one a new customer pays; both figures, and where each appears, are on the cost page.

Each Nova bill has two parts. The Nova Care membership is $99 a month and covers provider review, messaging, dose changes and refill management; the medication is charged on its own at each refill. There's no consultation fee or shipping charge, and Nova says no charge posts unless a provider writes a prescription.

The weight-loss floor is $169 a month, $99 of membership and $70 of medication. That's the figure the pricing page prints for the program, and the one the daily oral semaglutide tile works out to. Oral tirzepatide's tile says $174.

Injections are where Nova's numbers stop agreeing. The semaglutide page's headline says $210 a month all-in, while its FAQ puts starter-dose medication at $130, or $229 with the membership. Tirzepatide shows $225 on the tile and $180 of medication, $279 in total, in the FAQ. Doses above the starter aren't priced anywhere.

Longer fills change only the medication cadence: a 60- or 90-day supply bills every two or three months, while the membership keeps billing monthly. The oral pages quote cheaper multi-month medication prices, but those don't line up with the tiles either.

New members can take 50% off the first membership month with code FIRST50, which the banner limits to the next 1,000 customers.

Who it's wrong for

Californians can't sign up; Nova covers the other 49 states and lists California as coming soon.

Want someone to call? Nova has no phone line for care or billing, only app messaging and email.

Skip it if you're set on a weekly injection and want the price nailed down first. Nova prints two different starting totals for each shot and nothing for higher doses.

Being declined may still cost you. The pricing page says you're charged only if prescribed, but the refund policy calls membership fees non-refundable after clinical review, even when the provider writes no prescription.

Planning to skip refills now and then? The $99 membership stays active and keeps billing while a refill is skipped or paused.

  2. The prices. /pricing: “NOVA CARE MEMBERSHIP $99 /month Everything you need to start and stay on treatment.” and “Weight Loss Compounded GLP-1s (injectable or daily oral) with provider-guided titration. ALL-IN FROM $169/mo $99 membership + $70 medication, shipping free”, with the worked example “Nova Care membership $99 Weight Loss medication (from) $70 Provider review & messaging Included Shipping & supplies Free Consultation fee $0 Monthly total $169”. /weight-loss tiles: “GLP-1 Weight Loss Program Personalized GLP-1 treatment plan tailored to your needs As low as $169/mo”, “Compounded Semaglutide Weekly GLP-1 injection for sustained, steady weight loss As low as $210/mo”, “As low as $225/mo” (tirzepatide), “As low as $169/mo” (oral semaglutide) and “As low as $174/mo” (oral tirzepatide). Product pages: “Starting at $210/mo Includes medication, shipping & your $99/mo Nova Care membership. Final cost depends on the dose your provider prescribes.”, and the same wording at $225, $169 and $174.
  3. The injection FAQs. /learn-more/Compounded%20Semaglutide: “What does the $229/mo include? + Your **$99/mo Nova membership** covers provider consultations, 24/7 messaging, ongoing monitoring, and dose adjustments. The medication itself starts at **$130/mo** for the starter dose, with your total varying based on the dose your provider prescribes.” /learn-more/Compounded%20Tirzepatide: “What does the $279/mo include? + Your **$99/mo Nova membership** covers provider consultations, 24/7 messaging, ongoing monitoring, and dose adjustments. The medication itself starts at **$180/mo** for the starter dose, with your total varying based on the dose your provider prescribes.” The asterisks are printed on the page.
  4. The oral FAQs, which disagree with the tiles. Semaglutide: “Medication is **$25 monthly** (28-count of 36 mcg), **$35 for a 60-day supply**, or **$50 for a 90-day supply**. The 90-day tier comes out to $116/mo all-in.” Tirzepatide: “Medication is **$45 monthly** (28-count of 0.4 mg), **$70 for a 60-day supply**, or **$95 for a 90-day supply**. The 90-day tier comes out to $131/mo all-in.” The oral semaglutide page also contradicts itself on strength: “Provider-selected strength (1 mg to 6 mg) tailored to you” against “36 mcg or 145 mcg — your provider picks based on your tolerance and goals.”
  5. Billing, from the help center (“Updated April 24, 2026”): “You're billed in two streams: membership and medication.” Medication bills “30-day supply — charged monthly”, “60-day supply — charged every 2 months”, “90-day supply — charged every 3 months”. Canceling: “Cancel at least 2 days before your renewal date to avoid the next charge.” “We don't issue refunds for partially used periods.” Skipping a refill: “Your membership stays active”. /pricing: “Yes, anytime from your account. There's no contract and no penalty. Any medication already shipped is yours to finish under your provider's guidance.”
  6. Refunds, from the Refund Policy (“Last Updated: May 2026”): “These fees are generally non refundable once the clinical review has been completed, including in cases where the provider declines to issue a prescription based on clinical judgment.” “We do not prorate refunds for partially used subscription periods.” “If you request cancellation in writing before the dispensing pharmacy has begun compounding your prescription, we will issue a full refund of the medication cost.” Damaged shipments must be reported “within seven (7) days of delivery”. The policy adds “Nova is the merchant of record for all charges on the Nova platform”, with charges appearing as “TRYNOVA”.
  7. Who does what, from the terms (“Last Updated: April 2026”): “NovaCure LLC is a management and technology company. NovaCure LLC does not practice medicine, nursing, pharmacy, or any other licensed profession”. “In some states, the initial good-faith examination is performed by a state-licensed clinician affiliated with an independent third-party medical group engaged by NovaCure LLC for that purpose.” The About page: “All Nova prescribing providers are licensed in the state where the patient resides.” The footer: “© 2026 NovaCure LLC. All rights reserved. Nova serves patients in 49 states.” No street address is published.
  8. Pharmacies and shipping: “We specifically use 503A pharmacies that are regulated by the FDA.” The help center: “For most patients, total time from approval to delivery is usually 3-5 business days.” The home page names a medical director, Dr. Micah Craig, MD, and a nurse practitioner, Priscila Vidal, NP. Coverage: “We serve 49 states — everywhere in the U.S. except California, where we're working to launch soon.” Insurance: Nova is cash-pay and offers “superbills with CPT codes”; HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
