Do the savings badges on GLP-1 plans add up?

Mostly, yes, and that is the finding. Of the 14 companies whose badges can be tested against their own published prices, 5 reconcile on every one. The 9 that do not are wrong in patterns, not at random, and the patterns are worth knowing.

How often does a savings badge reconcile?

More often than not. 5 of the 14 testable companies get every badge right, and several of them get a lot of badges right: GoodGirlRx prints twelve savings badges across its four product pages, and all twelve reconcile exactly with that page's own one-month rung.

That result is what makes the rest mean anything. A ruler that has never returned a pass is not a ruler. When HealthiCare's plan grid and its three itemized receipts agree on seven checks out of seven, the eighth is a defect on HealthiCare's side.

Which companies get the arithmetic right?

GoodGirlRx, MyFastRx, Zappy Health, Green Cap Health, and HealthiCare: 5 of 14. Two of them deserve a specific mention.

Green Cap Health publishes six plan badges and six add-on claims stated as percentages, which is a harder thing to get right than a dollar figure. Checked against its own month-to-month rates: Every one holds. The percentages land within a tenth of a point of the claim in every case.

MyFastRx runs two ladders with eight badges between them, and The badge census, all eight checked against MyFastRx's own standing rates in August 2026, all exact. Its pricing has other problems (the same product appears at four different figures on one page), but its arithmetic is not one of them, and those are separate findings that deserve to stay separate.

What does a badge reading minus one dollar mean?

It means the plan costs more than not buying the plan. Synergy Rx's billing-cycle screen, 13 steps into its intake, reads 3 Months - $748 · $249/mo · Save $-1. Three months at Synergy's own $249 is $747. The plan charges $748. The template subtracted, got a negative number, and printed it.

The genuinely interesting part is the twin. Breeze Meds runs the same intake platform, the same ladder and the same $748 plan, and prints no badge on that card at all. It is also the card Breeze has already selected for you when the screen loads. One platform, two ways of handling the same negative number, and neither of them tells a reader the three-month plan is a dollar worse than paying monthly.

Why are so many badges wrong by the same amount?

Because of which month they start counting from. The pattern is the same everywhere it appears: the badge computes the saving against the standing monthly rate for every month of the term, while the card beside it offers a cheaper first month. So the badge claims credit for a discount the reader was already getting.

On Synergy and Breeze the standing rate is $249 and the first month is $199. Six months bought one at a time is therefore $199 + 5 × $249 = $1,444, so against a $1,248 plan the real saving is $196. Twelve months is $199 + 11 × $249 = $2,938, so against $2,298 the real saving is $640. Breeze's own record puts the size of the error in one line: Both are exactly $50 out, which is the size of the first-month discount the badges leave out.

FuturHealth showed the same thing in that historical intake, with a built-in comparison, which is why it is the most useful case here. Its first-month badge and its six-month badge both reconcile to the dollar against its own discounted ladder. Only the three-month card fails, and it fails because the badge only reaches $100 by switching to an undiscounted 3 × $298 = $894, a baseline neither of the other two cards uses. Two cards using one baseline and a third using another is not a house style. It is a mistake on the card FuturHealth selected by default in that historical observation. The current public offer is different and has not been assigned that older ladder.

Do the plan totals themselves multiply out?

162 of 770 do not. This half needs no quotation at all. It is computed from the roster, comparing each multi-month rung's published per-month rate times its published term against the charge the company states.

Most of those are a rounded per-month rate rather than a wrong charge, and TrimRx provided a historical example: Multiply the printed rate by the term and you are $1, $2 and $10 short of the real charge. Its historical savings figures, by contrast, reconciled to the dollar. Those old rungs are no longer used in the current price table. A rounded rate and an accurate saving can sit on the same page.

The two rows with the largest differences are not arithmetic at all. ShedRx's shortest plan bills one month at a time while its terms bind you to two, so the charge today and the charge you have committed to are genuinely different numbers, which is its own finding.

Does a badge ever understate the discount?

Regularly, and it is the reason to check rather than to assume the worst. bmiMD puts the same claim on twelve rows: Twelve rows, each carrying "Save 10% with your subscription. Discount applied at checkout". Three are exactly ten per cent. The other nine are larger, running as high as 19.5%. A reader who believed the badge would be pleasantly wrong.

Coby Health has the fullest spread of any company here, because it publishes enough badges to have one of everything: Six exact, one floor claim holding, two understated, five overstated. Fourteen badges, four different outcomes, one company, one day.

One badge in this roster fails in a way that is not about a plan at all. Cora Health, whose plan badges are exact, also advertises a yearly saving against a retail comparison: Twelve months at $1,000 is $12,000; the annual Cora plan is $1,188; the difference the page's own numbers produce is $10,812. The badge above that arithmetic claims $15,000 /year saved. Both of the numbers on which the claim rests are Cora's own.

So is a savings badge worth reading?

Yes, but only as a prompt to do the subtraction yourself, and never as a number. The badge is the only figure on a plan card that is not a price. It is a claim about two prices, and it is the one thing on the screen a company can get wrong without anyone noticing.

Three checks take about a minute each. Multiply the per-month rate by the term and see whether you get the charge. Subtract the plan charge from the same number of single months at the company's own first-month price, not its standing rate. And check what the badge is comparing against a retail figure the company chose rather than one it sells.
